2001 accord owner trying to make it last, love the car
Hello everyone from these very helpful forums, I hope everyone’s doing well. I own a Honda Accord 2001 2.3 4 cylinder with 220,000 miles on it. I mostly seek help here on how to keep it fixed up and running well. The power steering fluid leaks or burns (I don’t know for certain but it wastes fast!) and along with this the oil burns fast. I use 5 w30 and sometimes 10 w 30 due to the fact that it’s burning my oil tremendously and I have to refill about twice a week. It’s been having issues every now and then with accelerating and vibrating badly when in reverse gear. Other than that the car runs okay but still doesn’t accelerate unless I kinda floor it. I would like to make it a project car sooner down the road, but I’m currently tied in with having to buy parts and oils to it running. Any tips or help on how to keep this car alive would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
