Default New Here - 99 EK Hatch - SRS Code 1-5 Short to Driver Airbag Inflator - Help!!

Hello all, I’ve been chasing the SRS light in my 99 DX Hatch for a month! I did the short blue plug behind passenger kick panel trick and in counting the blinks ended up with airbags deployed code. Airbags look fine so the hunt was on!

Long story short I found a yellow cut wire behind the glove box. Did some research and ended up pulling the airbag only to find wire connecting it was the one that was cut. Went to junkyard, got new plug/wire, plugged it in, rescanned it, now new code 🤦‍♂️

Im chasing SRS DTC 1-5 Short to Ground in Driver Airbag Inflator.” Weird thing is the airbags deployed code isn’t showing—is this because I got that code from doing the short and count blinks trick? It was scanned at a shop with a snap on pro scanner which now gives the 1-5 code—shouldn’t airbags deployed code have shown? Long story short is airbag looks OEM and is obviously not deployed.

Wires all look connected to driver airbag so how do I go about this—could the original air bags deployed code I got from counting the blinks on the dash be true and if so maybe is stored in the module which is causing this?

I’m lost on this and need this car safe for me son. Any help you can provide is extremely appreciated!!
