Hello everyone, I have a very simple and dumb question. I have a Civic EK4 EUDM B16A2 and I''m changing the fuel filter.

I got this OEM part :

It came with a 6mm washer that should go on the lower part but it is a cone seat connection and I don't think it should have a washer.






Now when I look at the Service Manual that washer is not there:




What do you guys think? Is this washer right for this Filter or Is there something I don't understand here?

 

There is not supposed to be a washer there. I have removed several fuel filters and never seen one at the feed hard line.

 

Some earlier models have a fuel pressure service port in the top of the upper fuel filter banjo bolt... it is normally a 10 or 12mm head with a 6mm x 1.0 thread pitch and it seals against the top of the banjo bolt with the washer. You will not use this washer on a '96+ Civic.

 

Me too, although I never bought a OEM Part kit, that's why I was surprised with the 3rd washer.

This makes sense and if you look at the manual it talks about this 6mm washer..




Does this mean there is an error on this diagram where 49 is shown between the hard line and the filter?
