Default 93 Honda Civic d15 swap to d16y8

Long story my son has a 93 Honda Civic with a d15 motor that went to crap. I had a friend who had a d16y8 that said would be a drop in and play. That motor did fit in but I can figure out the electric. The new motor came with its own engine harness which is obd2 but the cari is obd1. I also have a p2p computer that came with the new motor. How do I made this work?

You use the original engine harness from the '93 Civic D15B7 engine... lengthen the IAT wire and change the plug to the Y8 style, add the wires to make the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch work, convert the distributor plugs (you can purchase an adapter harness online), swap the D15 fuel injectors into the D16 fuel rail OR convert the fuel injector plugs, and get a '92-95 Civic EX or Si ECU (37820-P28-A01 or A02). All you will use from the Y8 engine harness is some of the plugs... the entire harness does not work in your '93 Civic. The P2P ECU is useless in your application.
