So one day I was driving and suddenly the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. And I was able to limp the car home lifting the pedal every time I shifted but the clutch would still take 5+ seconds to engage each time. Fluid reservoir was full and there was no sign of leakage. So Inreplace the slave, bleed, and issue is not fixed. I replace the master and bleed, and during the bleeding process the diaphragm plate ruptured (probably happened when during the bleeding process, the pedal got stiff af) so I went to Honda and got an OEM master and it held the pressure, but the pedal was pressurize to the point of being nearly impossible to push down, and the problem still remains. Car is drivable but it takes the clutch several seconds to engage every time I shift. I'm so done with this ****. Brought it to a local shop and they say the pressure plate is "collapsed" but it doesnt make sense to me, it 100% seems like a hydraulic issue because the clutch works perfectly fine, but the hydraulic pressure seems to build after a few pedal pumps, then over pressurize with about 5 pumps, then after ten seconds or so of not pumping the pedal the pressure is gone again. Replaced the rubber line going from the master to the reservoir too, and theres no sign of leaking fluid. Tried using a vacuum bleeder too. If theres an inspection plate on the bell housing I'm going to see if theres an issue with the PP soon. I've tried googling "collapsed pressure plate" and theres hardly any results. I had a PP go bad on my old Accord but the symptoms were entirely different, during hard shifts the slightly decreased PP pressure would allow the clutch to slip a little bit, and that was the only symptom. Help?
Sounds like a miserable bunch of events. I haven't worked on a hydraulic clutch, but it really sounds like there is a bunch of air in the lines or cylinders someplace. What is the bleed procedure like on your car?
