Default Looking for guidance.

Got a 02 accord VP with a 2.3. Was thinking of turbo’ing it. How much horsepower could I ‘reliably’ push without swapping the auto trans. All stock with an exception of a high output alt.

Its the VP with an A5 and AT, its an econo/emissions king. Not a performance model in the slightest.
If you want performance, sell the car and get an EX or LX with a 5 spd and modify that.
Yes the used car market sucks, just like the VP A5.

You will not be able to run any kind of boosted setup. Since the ECU/TCU are one unit, it is not realistically possible to tune the car and retain control of the transmission. The ECU will also react adversely to any attempts at "hacks" to modify the fueling/timing which are required for boost.

Even if you could tune it, those auto transmissions are TRASH and won't hold any extra power.

Like Mad Mike said, get a 5 speed car if you want to modify this specific chassis.
