I’m looking to build a turbo h22 to drop in my 97 lude and I’m curious as to what a good combo for 275-300whp in terms of block and head without too much machining. I know the 97+ h22s are open decked vs the 96- being closed but will this really make a difference if I’m going to be doing sleeves? I won’t be taking it to the track so it won’t be high rpm for hours on end so there’s not much of a chance of overheating. Literally any information anyone has will be helpful

 

You can do 300whp on the stock motor. Just use good parts and get a quality, professional tune.
