I'm new here and was looking for a bit of help .l have a 00 civic hx 5speed that had a y5;v-tec...I was giving a 97 y7 non v-tec that had a auto trans ...what all is required to swap just the engine into my 00 civic I just need it to run...thanks in advance

 

You can swap in the entire Y7 engine and bolt your transmission to it without problem. I dont think you will have any issues with the harness and should be able to to use your original harness. If you use the harness from the donor engine you will have plugs left over from the auto trans.
