I have 195/55/15s on right now, but a buddy of mine is willing to sell me a brand new set for a really good price... Don't have alot of knowledge about tires, so I just wanted some insight. Thanks.

 

No unless you want to run stretched tires.

 

195/55/15 was the stock size that came on the 99-00 SI. Depends on what car you plan on putting them on.

 

What does that mean exactly?

They'll be going on my 94 Integra.

 

Even though the overall height/circumference is exactly the same as the original P195/55R15 tire, WHY would you consider using a tire that is greater than 1" narrower in footprint at every corner ? This affects braking performance, cornering performance and reduced traction under acceleration.

 

Because I had no idea that was the difference... Hence the post lol.
