Door lock actuator
Ah, you mean the fob? Its still not that because remote lock/unlock still works. Or am I misunderstanding, not exactly sure what you mean by the drivers door lock **** switch.
If you mean locking/unlocking via door lock with a physical key, that still operates both fine.

It is a similar circuit on an ep3. The driver door lock **** switch is used when the door is closed, and you use the key to lock or unlock all the doors. Turning the key send a ground signal to the multiplex control unit in the under-dash fuse/relay box, where the multiplex controls locking and unlocking of all the car doors.
If it is on the passenger side, it doesn't have any functionality.

Oh, now I understand, thank you for explaining. I wonder why the previous one on the passenger side had the 3 pin connector slot and the actual connector which I just left unplugged. Can it be the wiring system just has them on both sides for the right hand drive versions? Or is the wiring swapped from another car at some point in its life..
