Hello all, I have a 2002 (RD5) jdm Honda CR-V. I recently lost the key for it and have been trying to get a new one programmed. However, no dealerships in Canada can program it cause the Japanese vin can’t pull up the proper info to program the key in the Canadian system. I called a auto lock smith who said he could reprogram jdm cars and it still wouldn’t work. My vehicle doesn’t even have an immobilizer light that we can see but it’ll still just crank and not start and I’ve done all the other checks to confirm it is the immobilizer. We scanned the vehicle and it says that there is a communication issue between the immobilizer antenna and the key. The only thing we can think of at this point is to replace the antenna. Will this work? Is there anything I’m missing that could help with this?
