Default 2002 Honda Civic clutch line issue.

Hi All. I have a 2002 Honda Civic si. Last summer I had a new clutch put in. The past few weeks I replaced a slave cylinder ( my first ever) and had to have a new metal hydraulic line made up and put in. My issue of late is when I go to shift I get erratic sometimes the clutch will act normal and other times when haven't had to shift it won't engage. At those times I turn off-key, engage in first or reverse to be able to start and it will engage. Now it seems to speed up the takeoff or reverse. Seeing no external leaks. Any thoughts? Is it as simple as making sure it is bled thoroughly?

Also itis it a thing that I can replacethe master myself although I am no mechanic by any stretch. I did replace the slave and was told it was fine.
