Help please. 1997 accord lx 4cylinder right wheel does not spin freely.
So as I drive there’s a slight grinding sound that picks up as I accelerate. I thought it was the tranny. So I jacked up the car, but it in 2nd gear. And the left wheel spins but the right one doesn’t. So I took the cv axle out the hub and tried it again. This time the right spinned without the wheel but the left didn’t spin. I hear no clunking sounds and when I checked underneath car, while car was running, the axle going into the shaft didn’t seem to spin. I’m wondering is it a bad axle or a bad bearing?
Did you check to make sure that it wasn't a seized caliper, or maybe something jammed between the rotor and the dust shield?
