Intermittent High RPM Full Engine Cut Out: OBD0 B20
Hello all, I am sorry to plague the forum with more posts about "oh no! my swap wont run right!" but im having some trouble here, and it may not even be swap related
Here is the info:
OBD0 B20 Swap, 90 dx hatch, Monotech harness, PR4 ECU
about 1100 miles on the swap
disclaimer: i did not swap the engine myself, i bought a swapped Honda because that's the cheapest way to obtain a Honda with a b series
Issue:
Stalling out/bogging at high RPM
notice when engine is hot, or have been driving for a while
all cylinders miss, kind of feels like fuel cut
known 'fuel slosh' issue, assuming with fuel strainer (had the same issue on a previous civic i had) (fuel pump and strainer are ordered and will be here this week, for maintenance and hopefully so i can use more than half a tank at a time)
Things Checked:
Checked CKP, CMP, TDC, and TPS, all with multimeter and oscilloscope
New fuel filter
ignition switch seems to be properly functioning
ran around with a fuel pressure gauge, replicated the problem, saw no deviation with fuel pressure
Also, I don't currently have an O2 sensor, engine sometime runs great, and is not throwing codes.
Thanks for any help.

I fixed the issue shortly after posting, im updating this thread 3 years later to say that it was the
FUEL PUMP
had good pressure at idle, even taped the fuel pressure gauge to the windsheild while testing and the fuel pressure never dropped, but replacing the pump fixed it. The pump was incredibly rusty.
