This car has been idling rougher and it sounds like it might turn off at a stop light but the rpms stay around 600. It has noticeable shaking or vibration when idle.

I only get about 370 per gas tank and I used to get 430.

I guess it has surges where the rpms will jump to 2000 or so and stay there while coasting or going down some hills. I dont think this is normal.

I took it to two seperate mechanics and they couldnt find anything except spark plugs and throttle body.

It still wasnt running right so I took it to honda a while back and they replaced the air filter, put a new motor mount, and cleaned (hopefully) the fuel injectors.

I had the spark plugs and coils replaced recently but it still isnt fixed.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Thanks for any response.

 

Have you found a solution? I just noticed that my wifes 2008 LX motor feels like it is missing only when the AC compressor clutch is engaged. I haven't yet put it on the lift.
