D16Y8 swap shuts off at 3500 rpm
I just finished my D16 swap and ODB1 conversion. The engine starts up and idles perfectly but when I slowly raise the rpms and hit around 3500 the engine shuts off immediately and my dash light turn off. Im using a P28 with a hondata s300 and everything else is working perfectly until I raise the rpms. I noticed a hissing sound when the car would die so could this be vacuum related? And ideas as to what the problem could be would be greatly appreciated.
Having an S300, make a datalog of the issue and review it. You should be able to see what is going on when you hit that cut. With your laptop connected and SManager running, are you seeing any error codes?
Has the car been tuned? If not, what calibration file are you running?
You can try posting the datalog and a copy of your calibration file to the Hondata forums and see if someone there may be able to take a look and give you some feedback.
