2002 Civix LX AC not working
Bought the car recently but the ac never worked. The ac blows no air at all no matter if it’s cold or hot. Front fans are fine but don’t engage when ac is turned on same thing with the ac compressor. I ran a DTC diagnosis and got 9 blinks, says something about the air mix control. My only guess was the ac compressor but I’m not sure, any help would be appreciated.
Check the relay under the hood fuze box. I test mine by putting each one in the horn relay and toot the horn, if it doesn't toot it's bad. Check wiring to compressor & clutch, they're only plugged in. The blue _white wire goes to clutch, mine was going to compressor which caused to not work. There are many the AC won't work, that's just couple easy checks. It may be out of R134, or worse, have a leak, in that case won't work. See if the compressor pulley is spinning when motor is on, should be able to see from the wheel well.
I've also read that dirt between the pulley and clutch can cause a loss of magnet, removing one spacer might fix it. Just a thought before buy another.
