Are Civic IV Hatch and `88 CRX ED9 headlight switches interchangable ?
So, not long ago I had smoke coming out of the column where the switch is. I barely know electrical stuff but i have checked the wires and fuses, all of which seem fine (not burned). I bought the car with some off brand chinese xenon lights but i gutted and replaced them with normal H4 bulbs after the smoke problem occured. I think its a bad switch that needs to be replaced, that's why I'm asking if the switches in 4th gen civics can work on a CRX.
Sorry if there is already a thread asking the same thing but i couldn't find one.
Thanks,
Ned.

I'm fairly certain all 88-91 Civic combination switches will work. I can't recall if there was a difference between 88-89 and 90-91 when the dash changed.
Rockauto lists the same switch for 1989-1991 civics and crx's. Not sure what happened in '88 lol. But don't buy it from RA, Partsgeek has it cheaper that has worked just fine for me for 3 years now.
