Where the hell can I find bushings for the rear suspension knuckles on a 2015 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4L CR2 chassis? Three each side. Two appear to be close to the same, but may not be, the other obviously different.
Now, the whine line:
Well, I thought I had everything I needed. I'm blown away on how much rubber there is to replace on the rear suspension of this 9th gen Accord. I mean... why? Three links (Four if you include the rear stab bar link), plus the upper control arm and the strut. I'm not including any body rubber, but really... EIGHT total bushings???? This is more complex than the two bimmers I did a similar job. WIth half the parts and half the money. Well, it may be less than half the money with this last revelation...
So, the eight bushings? THREE of them are pressed into the knuckle. Great... ok. A lot of work but I can do it. I have the tools. But wait... NO ONE HAS THEM! No, I dont mean they are out of stock... I mean.. NO ONE SELLS THEM AT ALL!!!
So, am I reduced to have to go to Honda and buy ALL NEW knuckles?? Then... I cant just transfer the bearing after 130k miles... so now, I'm changing hubs and bearings. So, this started out where? Well... it started with some worn tires. Ok no problem. They are a little soon to change, but go ahead and swap and align. Well... Damn thing wont align. All of these blasted rubber bushing apparently are worn enough that it wont hold alignment. Wow... thanks a lot Honda. Fine... but now, I'm already in this for $1200 in parts ONLY from rock auto. Not the cheapest, but still. Wow. If I cant find bushings, I have to go in with another $600-$700 for rear hubs/knuckles? Just because the parts are so sensitive that they cant hold an alignment. On FIXED wheels?? If the rears had a steering feature, that would be different. I see absolutely no purpose for such an obscenely complicated suspention.
