1988 CRX DX crank no start
I have a 1988 CRX DX auto with 106,000 miles. It would stall out after about an hour of driving if I got to a red light and it was getting harder to start. I found that the head gasket was going so I left it parked it for around 2 weeks. I went to start it up and it just cranks but doesn’t start. I checked that I’m getting air and spark. The timing should be right as I made sure cylinder 1 is tdc and then lined everything up. When I did check the timing originally, I don’t think it was correct to begin with. I hear the fuel pump working and see that the spark plugs have fuel reaching them. (Not sure if the injector is working as I don’t know how to check that). only thing I haven’t checked is compression. I’m wondering if there’s better ways to diagnose these. Any help would be much appreciated.
