Looking for some help here. My 17 Accord Hybrid has begun showing an error in the MFD "Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System Malfunction" and sure enough - it's right. When traveling in EV mode at low speed there is no sound. I attached a code reader and there weren't any codes.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to begin besides the Honda Dealer?

Take it to a shop or dealership.

There are likely codes stored,,but you need more than a simple code reader to pull them.

Before that however you can check fuse B5(10A) in the underdash fuse box, as that powers the Acoustic Control Unit.

 

Was checking to see if you got this fixed. I’m having the same issue. About to check continuity on the speaker and then inputs on the controller.
