trunk is stuck
Hello,
I have a 2007 Honda Civic LX 1.8L 4 door Sedan
my trunk is shut closed. it wont open at all.. i tried following some youtube videos where they stick a screw driver in the area on top were the baby car seat hook lives.. however, its not working for me.. i seen another video where they stick a broom stick and try push the latch on the trucks wall. however, there is absolutely no hole for me to stick a broom in.
the only solution i see is to either get an angle grinder or some kind of commando knife and stab and cut a hole directly on the chair to create a hole.
if anyone can help on how i can just get the seat off that would be great help. i have groceries in there that are going to rot and make the car smell unbearable if i dont get in there and get it out

Never mind i found out how to do it.
For anyone out there who stumbles upon this thread, who needs help.
i was able to get in the trunk by removing the driver side rear speaker.
There is the plastic speaker grate covering the speaker. i had to pry it off with a pry bar (screwdriver would work too).
Once i removed the plastic grate, there was one screw/bolt holding the speaker.. i used an 8mm bolt to remove it. (you can use a Philips screwdriver as well since bolt also has the "STAR" shape to unscrew it)
I also had to pry the speaker off from the base.. once the speaker is off i was able to stick my hand in and PUSH the REAR SEAT PULL DOWN lever. (if the truck was open.. i would PULL on that release lever to push the rear seats down).
Once i was able to pull the rear seat down. on the trucks DOOR (from the inside) theres a release lever to open the truck. push the release to the left and it opens the trunk.
hope it makes sense
