CR-V 2002 simulating ABS sensor by a resistance
Hello to all ;On my CR-V 2002 one of the ABS wheel sensor is probably defect giving a ABS sign light on dash.. I am trying to locate which one , and trying to remove one i broke the 10mm bolt due to rust.. So before getting worse i would like to simulate a sensor by applying a resistance at the female 2 wires connector after disconnect the sensor, Please let me know if this will work and which value of resistance should it be ? Many Thanks.
Wow ! Fix it right !! you did not understand a word of what i explain ; i am not trying to replace the sensor by a resistance permantly !! I am trying to locate WHICH one is defective for replacement I am sure one of them is ok I dont want to break bolth bolts and having to redo the tread .. Fix it right ! thats a great help !
Yes thanks i agree with you, but the thing is my codes reader is quite basic (and old) and does not read the ABS error codes.. That s why i am trying to locate the defect sensor by a way , or another , of connecting a resistance to simulate these sensor
You really need access to a code reader that will read the ABS/VSA codes.
It's possible the issue that caused the error has nothing to do with the wheel speed sensors. Could be a stuck solenoid in the ABS module or a bad pump motor. You are chasing your tail without a code reader.
