Been trying to read what axles people use on their swaps with a 93 H22A in a 99 Prelude SH. Currently the prelude half shaft is in there, with a base prelude drivers side axle. I'm hearing binding, what are the correct axles I can't figure it out

 

You are using a non-SH transmission too, right ?!?

 

yes the correct transmission i beleive m2b4 is the code non SH

 

You need a base model axle.

 

that's what's in there now, and it doesn't fit all the way on the half shaft, it slides

 

You need all THREE axles from a '97-01 Base Prelude application. Three includes the intermediate shaft.

 

Ahh......That's my problem isn't it....had no idea they were different. When i look online it seems like they are the same

edit: im looking online and i cant find a base model half shaft. what year base model axle do i need to run? its a 1998 sh prelude with a engine and transmission from a 4th gen 1996 prelude.

 

You can run a 4th gen or 5th gen base intermediate shaft. Your axles should come from a 5th gen, however.

 

and that's where everything gets confusing. how do i tell which intermediate shaft i have, is it possible the person who did the swap installed a half shaft from an accord?

 

That I don't know- but there are differences between base and SH, and also manual vs auto. Measurements may be in the factory service manual.
