Icon5 Maintenance Minders or Miles? 2017 Si

I've always been told to do maintenance by your mileage. We drive around 120 miles a day so we try to budget and prepare for upcoming maintenance. I am at 91k miles and all I see in the manual is about the minders; no schedule for mileage. Does anyone have a solid mileage maintenance schedule? I know it may differ depending on where you live and environmental conditions and whatnot; just trying to get a guideline.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I know what you mean about no mileage maintenance and only maintenance reminders. I don’t like how they don’t put it in the owners manual.
There is probably an “official” list of items which I don’t know what it includes, so you should be able to go to a Honda dealership and ask them what all is necessary for your next maintenance minder/100k. If you are able to get an exact answer from Honda, I’d be interested in knowing what it is.
At least these items are what I would do:
Coolant should last years, but a radiator flush would be good at your year and mileage if you haven’t already done so. Same with transmission fluid. Power steering fluid could be changed also if you want maximum longevity. What I do for power steering fluid is have the car on a lift or maybe front wheels off the ground with the car on solid jack stands. Then start the vehicle, remove a power steering hose that is easily accessible, and put it in a bucket, gently move the steering wheel back and forth until a large amount of fluid is drained. Or really until it stops draining. Shut the car off, replace the power steering hose, then refill the power steering system with fluid. Take off the cap after using it a little bit so that any air bubbles trapped can be released, and make sure the fluid level is above minimum, but not over maximum.
You could do a brake fluid flush if you’re really serious about brake system lasting a long time, but I usually don’t worry about flushing the brake fluid, and figure I’ll have to buy new calipers at 150-200k miles, and maybe a new master cylinder around that time also.
Spark plugs are a good idea to change at your year and mileage.
The timing chain is probably fine, but you could “inspect” it if you’re worried about it for some reason.
Of course check the air filter. Look around at all your hoses under the hood and really anywhere else you want to.
See if you have any oil leaks from places such as valve cover gasket or oil pan gasket, etc.
That’s all I know of in general at 100k miles. I have the 1.5T in a ‘22 Civic, which I think is the same engine as far as I know, so those are the items I’ll do around 100k miles.

These SI vehicles use ELECTRIC steering. No power steering pump or reservoir to worry about.

Should have been done many miles ago. Please let me know if you need the proper Iridium spark plug number from NGK

Only if oil changes were not regular. These 1.5 litre "Earth Dream" motors are even more robust than the K24 series. Even the exhaust manifold is water-cooled for heaven's sake!

You'll see more smoke coming from any leaks as they touch the turbo or exhaust manifold. 91K is pretty early.

My bad, I was just thinking of ideas in general at 100,000 miles for cars I’ve worked on I’ve worked on in the past.
I know these models have electric power steering, but I haven’t spent much time under the hood of the ‘22 actually so I need to get more familiar with it.
I also want to know if there are more maintenance items needed at 100,000 miles.
