I have a 1998 Integra with a JDM front that was involved in an accident, the other parties insurance is claiming a total loss for my car but will not add any value for the JDM front. The adjuster claims that if an USDM and JDM front Integra were in a car lot they would sell for the same price. I disagree but I cannot find any data to support my claim. The used car dealers whom I have contacted are unfamiliar with the conversion and have not been able to help. If anyone can help with information on how to obtain an estimated value for an Integra with a JDM front I would appreciate it.
If you have receipts for the front end conversation perhaps show it to the adjuster, and compare it to the cost of OEM parts. I’m not sure which would cost more since you’re comparing the cost of a used JDM front end to new OEM parts. Either way they should compensate you. This same thing happened to me years ago and I have JDM OEM HID front end. They ended up compensating me for it and I replaced the parts.
