On a road trip currently, just crossed 20k on odometer. Haven’t hit any pot holes or anything, but the last 500 miles or so I have noticed a rattling noise coming from the passenger dash. Inspected the glove box and front passenger tire and see nothing. Seems to be louder going down bumpy roads. Anyone else have this problem?
There was a Honda technical service bulletin regarding rattling from the front of the vehicle, due to faulty rubber damper caps (shock absorber mounting caps). You may want to contact the Honda dealer.
If you are talking about an external metallic vibration (as apposed to internal body panels vibrating) I would recommend removing the front wheel and taking a look around. Those commonly come from work out bushings, tie rod ends, shock mounts, etc.
My rattle was coming from the hood latch. Honda couldn’t find the problem and replaced multiple parts inside the car dash area with no resolve. I found it myself. Just use a little electrical tape as a temporary fix to stop the rattle from the latch and problems solved.
