Hey all. How do you know if your airbags in a 20+ year old car are still going to work as designed? What kind of maintenance work needs to be done to keep your car's front and side airbags fully functional? Specifically, the RSX. I want to make sure this car is safe after I get it in my possession. I was considering doing an interior conversion to black as well. Hoping I don't mess something up.

 

Don't crash, easy enough. Then you never need to find out if they work.

Acura used to have an airbag inspection/replacement schedule back in 1994 or so. It quickly vanished.

I have set off many 20 odd year old air bags for giggles. None have failed to deploy or sent shrapnel out.
