Can you pull a trunk out from being hit from behind?
Got hit from behind at a red light. Trunk was pushed in about 2 inches and won’t close because it doesn’t line up with the lid anymore. Can I do anything to pull it out?
Sure, hook it up to a tree and drive forward until it is straight. lol
but in all seriousness that is pretty much what it is going to take. Hooking up a come-a-long or chain fall and pull it out until it is straight. Depending on how bad the damage is you may be able to use a BFH to beat it straight from the inside or maybe a slide hammer to pull it back from the outside. IF we are talking a whole corner including frame rails, you are going to need hydraulic/mechanical tools to get it pulled out properly.
That or pay for it. Take it to a body shop and they can put it on a frame/chassis jig to pull it straight.
