LHD and RHD brake boosters? HELP! (DA Integra)
The brake booster has given out on my DA9 coupe, its the original one Nissin NM260V, and it's impossible to get one in Australia. I'm looking online, and there are ones available in the USA by CarDone (53-2510), but I'm unsure if it will fit my RHD Teg? One seller on ebay says it won't work, but didn't say why. It looks the same as a RHD one, with the vacuum pipe at roughly 2 o'clock, and the two bolts for the MC at 2 o'clock and 8 o'clock.
I can understand why the MC would be different, because the brake lines would go the other side, but I've seen a few threads of people doing RHD swaps in the US, and no mention of needing a RHD brake booster, but then they do cut and weld the plate out that it bolts to anyway. Not sure what MC that mated them too, Predlude ones I think.
The part number from Honda in Australia is 46400-SK7-A02, which seems to be the same number quoted for LHD in the adverts I see, also the NM260V, and I'm certain part numbers would be different if they weren't the same. Like a steering rack would have a different one for right or left hand drive...
And also, I can't find anyone to recondition mine here in Australia, which seems a bit crazy.
Alternatively, does anyone know the spec I need to buy one that's generic or universal? Single or double? I know its a 15/16, but is the size 7-8", or does the part number refer to the size NM260V = 260mm?
Thanks
