Sons first car
Hey all, my son bought his first car which is a 2000 Accord v6. It has a rough idle we are trying to fix. I've been a Ford guy my whole life and have never even owned a car so these are pretty new to me.
We changed plugs and coils but still very rough idle. While unplugging coils one at a time to find a change in idle, we found that the entire front bank did not change while the back bank made it much worse. I was hoping to pinpoint a single injector maybe but now I'm lost as to where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated

Do you know the vehicles maintenance history? Do you have a code reader, any DTCodes reading?
When the timing belt, water pump, tensioner was last replaced, as well as whether or not the valve clearances have been checked lately?
Compression and leak down test could be something to look into as well.

I don't know the history but know of the original owner and was kept up until recent problem. It was throwing codes for misfire on 5 cylinders, egr, and coolant temp sensor. Changed temp sensor, cleaned egr, plugs and coils. Cleared codes and none have come back. There is also a major oil leak at the filter housing I need to fix. Any possibility a major oil leak could cause rough idle? It's throwing oil only when running.
Full disclosure: I'm much more versed on the Inline 4 (F22B2) engine arrangement, and not as much on V6. But seems to me that if the idle was not affected by pulling the coil leads on the front bank, then the problem is in the front- and common among all three cylinders. Could the timing be off for the front bank camshaft? (TBH, I'm not sure that engine would even be able to idle on three cylinders, if that was the case) But that would be my next check with a timing light.
I'm not sure how the oil leak at the filter could be impacting ignition. My $0.02- hope it helps.
