Default Bluetooth Honda CR-V 2015

Can anyone help with this issue with a suggestion I haven't tried?
Bluetooth connected previously just fine, the screen would show the music I was playing and allow me to skip songs from the screen itself. The other day the backup camera was still showing up when I put the car in drive. I stopped the car - powered off and restarted it, the screen went back to normal (after reverse the main screen came back on).
Now my bluetooth shows NOT connected, yet the music (nav or whatever is on my phone) is playing through the system.

I've tried removing the device (Pixel 6 - if that matters), re-pairing it several times now. I renamed my device and tried that, tried setting my own pairing code, same results no matter what I've tried.
I did a system reset from the settings, still the same.
STILL Shows not connected in the Bluetooth settings (despite it popping up when I start the car and showing the device, pixel 6, has connected) and audio plays through speakers. I see nothing on the screen except the screen showing no connected device, and the steering wheel buttons do not work when trying to skip or adjust the volume.

Thanks for any suggestions that I haven't already tried.
