Good brake pads, a cone filter on the end of the stock intake, and then see how you feel. Don't spend big dollars yet until you know what you want for the vehicle.
Also make sure suspension is in good shape, and make sure to change all your fluids as a maint item, not an upgrade.
If it is an automatic, you really don't want to power mod a 6th gen

If it is your daily driver, you definitely don't want to make it into a track car.
If it was track-only then honestly just engine swap and go from there, but track/racing costs A LOT from experience. You will end up spending 5x what the car is worth to turn it into a proper track car

The prelude shifter is nicer (I would know, I have one) but isn't worth paying for if you don't have one already. That money is better spent on suspension mods like polyurethane bushings, or good brake pads etc.
