Ive had my 1992 honda accord for awhile but one morning i went for a drive and my clutch when i started went stright to the floor not the normal kinda take a little to engage then i went for a drive and i went to down shift and couldnt put my car in to any gears i do know that the previous owner had put auto trans Fluid in it i found this out after the fact but i dont really know where to start. This is on the block but the owner told me nothing about this car and it needs alot of work but i dont know what any of it is i already bought the wrong thing once.
Well you say you own a 1992 Accord, however, your engine says F22B2, that is the SOHC Non VTEC engine from a 1994-1997 Accord. Not that it has anything to do with your clutch. F22B2 and the earlier F22A1-4 pretty much the same beast.
As far as the clutch goes,
Have you checked the fluid level in the reservoir? Where you having any shifting issues prior to this?
Where did he put auto trans fluid, in the transmission or as clutch fluid?
The clutch mater cylinder would be he next part to look at.
