Default Honda Power Steering Fluid

Anyone know what the Honda Power Steering fluid is made of and if it will damage my belts? My hose was leaking and the dealer mechanic said that the timing belt was exposed to the fluid and contaminated and needed to be replaced. I declined but does anyone have any insight?

Thanks,
Ken

Sage advice to replace the rubber timing belt. It is not designed to be in contact with oil and will degrade and possibly snap. Very bad and expensive day when the timing belt snaps.
