Default 98 Civic HX

Just fixed some issues with the car since I’ve recently bought it and when driving around when the car gets to operating temperature and starts coming to a stop in neutral the car will stall. Was hoping for any ideas on why this might be happening. But before it reaches operating temperature it doesn’t stall at all

When that would happen on my HX it was always the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) located on the backside of the intake manifold. Probably dirty, you can take it off (make sure you have lots of rags for the coolant that comes out of the two hoses) and clean the plastic bellows (use MAF cleaner, not throttle, you'll melt the plastic!) that should help you. You could also just leave the IACV connected but it's a pain trying to lay on the engine!
