My sons 06 accord will not start with the key with the fob. I had to replace the fob casing because it was broken. The key will allow for it to attempt to start but never turns over. It will start with the valet key. The problem is he has now misplaced that. Does the fob need to be reprogrammed and if so how

 

If you still have the broken key fob casing, you can take the transponder chip out and transfer to the new key fob. See the Drive Accord link in my post # 2 in this other thread: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-.../#post49972822

Otherwise, you have get the new key fob programmed by a locksmith or the dealer.
