Default Any way to reprogram the D3 button to be a D4 instead?

My daily commute consists of going through canyons and hills, i find that the automatic shifts a lot and i would like to just lock it to 4th gear, but my only choice is to lock it in 3rd gear which is overkill, it revs over 4k and is unnecessary, i find 4th to be perfect. So are there any methods in achieving this? It is a 2006 CRV auto 5-speed

I have the same wish as you. But is in the ECU program we don't have acces.

I found a solution! I convert mine to manual.

Yes in the ECU, i was hoping for some external device or mod that would give us this option... like tricking the shift solenoids by rigging some switches or relays

I have a similar issue, but it's caused by me replacing the 2.4l with a Japanese import 2l used in Japan models. The engine is strong and runs fine, but the shift points are all wrong, basically to get it to move along correctly I have to manually shift the gears, a real pain in the ***.
I 'm wondering if replacing the solenoids could help? Not sure where to source them?
Anyone?
