So my Sol got into a little fight with a Mazda yesterday. No one's fault, and nothing that can't be fixed.
Sadly, the backing plastic of the right JDM headlight took the worst of it. Three of the mounts have also snapped.
1) Any idea from where I can find a replacement? (I know, I know...)
2) I'm thinking of buying a cheap, aftermarket one-piece headlight, ripping it apart and replacing the back cover from it onto the OEM one. Thoughts?
I know you can get a ton of headlights off Ebay, but I prefer the original JDM look if I can somehow keep it.
I found that the after market housing tends to not be the same as OEM even in the USD market, let alone the JDM. You may run into fitment issues with that route.
Managed to track down a pair of jdm headlights locally. They're rough, but not broken. Happy days.
The guy also had a set of oem fog lights for next to nothing. They were so unusual (here in Malta) that I bought them as well. Any idea what they're off? Maybe a USDM EH del sol? They're glass, not plastic. (ignore the rattle can yellow paint off the previous owner)
