B16 head issue

Default B16 head issue

Hope everyone doing good I’m doing a build b20v and I got this complete b16 head off a friend for 100 bucks with cams and super tech dual spring and valve and retailer but I seen bottom of head damage can this be fix or I seen a brand new head for 450 I was thinking of getting it and Changing it all over to the new head so kinda have a new head for about 550

That head looks like it has been taken down a bit already. You will have to measure the head and deck heights to make sure that you are going to have enough piston to valve clearance. You may be able to get away with getting that milled and run a thicker head gasket, that all depends on your measurements.

Ok man Thankx for that information what you think buying a brand new head for 400 bucks bare and swapping all this parts over would it be best and cheaper then machine shop going to charge me xause this head have all parts and super tech spring and valve and retailer and etc and b16 cams I was thinking about just to get the bare head and doing that cause I already got a brand new head gasket so it this old head need a lot of Shave so mt head gasket won’t work and I paid about 150 for head gasket already

Make sure the bare head has the matching cam caps.

This is the head has all bolts and cams caps you think is worst takinf all parts from my old head and put it on here I will spend 550 450 for new head and 100 for the old head I have

That is NOT a genuine head casting from Honda... it is a cheap copy. Be careful.

Ok thankx I’m not going to run alot of hp like that so you think it will
be ok and I had a ? I got this Intake with thr b16 head but I’s this a type r rep intake and why tps sensor not on top of tb
