Default 89 ED6 seatbelt question

I'm looking for a driver's side seat belt assembly. Someone replaced the OEM one with the wrong one so I can't have the one I have rebuilt. The mounting holes do not line up. I found one that the webbing is bad and it will cost an additional $100 to have the webbing replaced. I found one from a 89 Wagovan but don't know if it will fit.

Does anyone know if any other model or year has the same seat belt assemblies?

Call your local dealership to see if they can do a seatbelt replacement on your car (give them the year and model). Seatbelts, being safety items, are a free replacement. The only way they may not do it is if they no longer can get stock of the seat belt. It's worth a shot.

They will not replace a modified seat belt. They will only replace an oem belt that is fraying.

I need to see if my local dealership will do a seatbelt replacement on my EG. Driver's belt is starting to fray.

I took it to the dealership for them to look at. The part is no longer available so they can't (won't) help. Still looking for a replacement but it looks like it's going to cost $120 for a used one that I have to spend another $100 to have it refurbished.

Thanks for the input.

I took my beater 96 sedan in a couple years back and they had no issues replacing the frayed drivers belt free of charge.

So the replacement I found, bought and had shipped is not the right one. The mounting holes are the right distance apart but the mounting bracket is wrong. It also does not look the same as the one on the right side. It is marked for the left side which is correct but it doesn't mount inside the metal body panels so the plastic trim panel will not fit. Supposedly the replacement came off of a 1989 Civic 2 door hatchback.

If it came off the same year model any idea why it doesn't fit?
Any ideas on where to get a stock seat belt assembly that will fit? (Still watching car-part.com for junk yard matches)

I'm back to square one with finding the right seat belt, just more frustrated. After 4 months of working to get it cleaned up a bit and running reliably my son is starting to understand why I asked him multiple times if he really wanted to take on this project. A good life lesson for a 17 year old and his first car. He really wants to keep it as stock as possible otherwise I'd be looking into racing belt options.
