Should i do an MPFI conversion?
Firstly I'm not a car guy, i'm just a guy that a very clean EF landed on a few years ago and I've dabbled and kept in good condition. I've seen people talk about doing MPFI conversions and I'm wondering whether or not to take the plunge. It's not something I think i'd do myself but I would have a pro do, so my question is, if I find the right shop, is it realistic to think they would source all parts and do the work or do you think there would be an expectation to have to find the parts myself and if so, how readily available or unavailable are the parts needed to do this these days?
If you're not a car guy, I would pass. The gains are immaterial on a stock 1.5l D15b engine, and the cost to have it professionally done would be high. Sourcing parts between FB and eBay is probably not that hard, but will be costly as these cars are getting old, and parts are getting rare.
If you have big ideas for the car in the future, be it a full N/A build, engine swap or boost, then yes it may be worth going through the effort to pay a pro to do the swap.

No you should not waste your money on a mpfi conversion. It’s only worth it if you go vtec. Look for a del sol or a eg ex sedan and pull the intake head and distributor and ecu then go from there
