96 ek civic b20 vtec hondata s300 ecu keeps dying
Hi guys, I got a 96 ek civic with a b20/b16 head running on a hondata s300. Somehow the car is killing my ecu, I have replaced 3 ecu with hondata s300 already. Could it be my autonator killing it? I don't want to put in a new s300 ecu until I find the problem and fix it.
Is there a standard ecu that I can use in the mean time while diagnosing the problem ? Don't want to put in another s300 just to kill it.
Thanks

How is the car damaging the Hondata S300 but NOT the ECU itself ? What is the board color of the S300's that you are trying to use ?
The car won't rev past 4k rpm, if I throttle it. The rev will bounce and sputter. I tried getting a cel code but there's none. The engine light does not flash and after a while the headers glow red. Hence why I think ecu is dead, the hondata is a version 2.
