The main thing is that my 2006 Accord Ex won't start. When I open the door, the speedometer and tach lights illuminate on the dash. I put the key in and they get brighter. When I turn the key to ON, absolutely nothing. No engine light, no oil light, nothing else. And when I turn the key to start, nothing at all changes: Does not try to start, no clicking, the lights on the dash don't change except that the speedometer and tach lights time out and fade. It has a brand new battery and cables, a new ignition switch, no fuses are blown, and I'm out of ideas...
SOLVED! I wasted time not properly troubleshooting, but I found it.
Since the dash only had the tach and speedometer lights when I put the key in, but none of the other lights when I turned to ON or Start, I should have checked the big white wire (power to the ignition) first. Of course there was no power to it. The next stop should have been the fuses. I DID check the fuses under the hood, all EXCEPT for the No. 23 big 50/50 amp fuse under the hood which, of course, was the IGN fuse. Yup, blown. And because of a bad starter. Anyway that's it: Bad fuse caused by a bad starter.
