2021 Accord Sport SE
Hey what’s up, just had a question about when I’m in idle. I noticed that when I’m at idle or below 2000RPM I’ve got this noise coming from the engine bay and it sounds like a loose heat shield but the cars brand new. It’s a squeaky yet rattling noise.

no worries. that is the mechanical fuel pump for the direct injection. As a Honda technician, even I was a little concerned about the noise back in 2013 when Honda introduced the direct injected Accords. I remember thinking "is that valve noise on a brand new car?" But quickly came to realize the mechanical high pressure pump is a bit noisy.
