JEGS K20a2 Crate Engine?
Hello,
I'm looking to do a kswap in my eg and have been researching K20 engines and I came across this: https://www.jegs.com/i/ATK-Engines/059/551/10002/-1
Has anyone purchased this engine before? I mean, for the price can there be a better deal in terms of a rebuild?
I'm also looking into the K crate engines sold by https://www.kmodperformance.com/coll...-crate-engines

Although I never purchased an engine from jegs. They’re solid. In terms of costs. Depends on your area and if u can source a used k20a2 longblock / full swap
over here. Used full swap k20a2 usually goes for $2500 give or take full swap full swap out of a rsx type s.
keep in mind buying from jegs id assume just bare longblock or basic longblock
still Need tranny and the other swap components
depends on your budget and how “all out” you wanna go or a basic budget friendly
if “all out” type sure get that and have a new engine
or buy a full swap and then do a rebuild(cheaper but more extensive)
or buy a healthy stock used swap and swap in then do rebuild later (budget friendly ish if this option)
questions really broad and from you asking I’d assume you are a newbie(not trying to offend)
id suggest
buy a used full swap k20a2 from a rsx type s.
Do maintenance / swap into car. Go from there
