Icon5 SoCal (Orange County) paint shops

Hi guys:

I just acquired an '01 GSR that needs a repaint (OEM satin silver color). I will likely shave the door moldings, add an ITR front lip, and rear spoiler when it is getting painted. I'll also freshen up all moldings/trim.

I need recommendations on mid-tier shops to do the work. I am guessing $1500-$2500 all-in. I plan on keeping this car forever but don't want to spend for a show-car finish. But, I am not looking for a Maaco-type paint job either.

I am in Orange County, CA -- please I need suggestions of good Honda-friendly shops that you have personal experience with.

Thanks!

Good luck finding a place to do a respray for that budget...especially if you are going to be shaving the moldings.

with the work involved in shaving the moldings and full respray (fix dings/dents and scratches), that 2500 will probably be what maaco will charge.

I will do the molding shave myself and there are no real dings/scratches/dents requiring repair. I could also do a lot of the prep myself. But, I hear what you are saying. This is why I am looking for recommendations 👍

Probably $2500 in just paint these days.

Painting a brand new bumper cover will use up most of your budget. Auto body prices are ludicrous.

The repair work I see driving around CA doesn't give me any hope you will find a good shop. I have seen gravel roads with less orange peel.

Might want to try TJ

I think my mobile painter now does full paint jobs! hes gonna touch up my Jeep SRT bumper before it gets ceramic coated then wrapped in PPF.
