It works but it’s not easy and it’s time consuming. It’s easier if you start with a manual transmission car and install a manual transmission from a B series hydro clutch car.
ask yourself if you really want to dedicate the time for a project like this, if it’s really worth it to you.
it was a common swap 20 years ago.
my recommendation is to just buy the car with the engine you want to save the hassle.
buy a K series Civic in my opinion. Unless you’re really up for a project, just buy a 02-11 Civic with a K series already and you’ll accomplish what you wanted out of the B series engine swap.

ill help u

use stock harness
convert iacv to 2 wire
add on vtec

get 99/00 tbracket em1. ONLY

Get eBay has port rep 96-00 3bolt mount solid kit $120 works perfect

get any 94-01 axles and matching half shaft

get obd1 ecu with basemap for gsr
if stock manifold wire iab

literally the simplest thing

whatever you remove
you put back on from new swap. Simple as that

While your engine is out
do timing belt water pump Japan oe replacement

Intake manifold gasket
rear main seal oem
front main seal oem

new clutch kit quality
resurfaced flywheel

new cams seals oem
New oem oil pan gasket

if ur gsr is obd1
vise versa convert meaning either harness or dizzy plug gotta match whichever is whichever

alternator complicated a little
jdm is oval 3 plug special
You is square
either get (simple way). Just depin and manually pin them in

or get a obd2 usdm alt (more expensive)

if ur injector from gsr is obd1
either snip ur harness pigtail to convert obd1 (cheapest)
or go buy any 96-01 integra injectors
96-00 EX ONLY INJECTORS
OR 99-00 em1 si injectors

get a obd2a to obd1 ecu jumper harness
ive used eBay $20 works perfectly fine for years
u can find a quality used on fb ads local for $30-60 bucks honestly up to u

get gsr top n bottom rad hose kit

exhaust
you can use oem or aftermarket your choice to change (I do however suggest go straight the $350-450 eBay mass rep but true BIG TUBE** ” header to 3” outlet. the go 3” exhaust full like truebendz. . Then3” muffler tip of ur. Choice. (This way u do it COMPLETELY ONCE and never look back this route cost 1k total give or take. And MAXIMIZE performance of na off the bat GET A FLEX PIPE FOR SURE these shitty eBay mass produce. Cracks easily
and honestly if I was you any eBay header
reweld it if u got access

single use 1.75” exhaust
b stock uses 2.25

i suggest go 2.5” all the way cheap route very cheap cost $250-500 aftermarket header full exhaust axleback
honestly
ebay test pipe. eBay whole exhaust
and a QUALITY axle back. Is perfectly fine for me. Running for years

eBay test pipe and full exhaust 2. The 5” but really 2.35. RSR axle back . SOUNDS BEAUTIFUL

i def wish I went full 3” from gecko
but it’s okay I was a kid

if I can redo

True big tube smsp header 4-4sidebyside-2-11(remember not tri y where it’s 4/2/2 on top of each other-1 those r trash
or rmf big oval

Then true bendz 3” full exhaust
and 3” muffler

but oh well I’m cheating. 2.5” full exhaust with turbo lol so f 3”
but if u a na guy u need 3” no matter what to maximize performance of na. Someone did a test with a stock b16 on Honda tech
3” beats “2.5 aka 2.36” all over

if u actually need step by step instructions

send me a pm. And I’ll send you a very descriptive video on how to what to do. Talking about it not typing it out
