2009 Accord Sedan Front Door Stuck Closed
Hey all:
I took the front passenger door panel off the other day to change out the arm rest. When I put the door panel back on, the door lock switch above the interior handle is stuck in the "unlock" position and I can't get the door to open. This is what I have done to try to get the door to open:
_
If I can just get the door open, I can remove the panel and figure out what is going on with the cables / door lock actuator / latch. I cannot remove the interior door panel with the door closed.
Does anyone know how to get the door open when it is stuck closed like this??
Thanks, Phil

- The lock switch on the door is physically stuck in the unlock position.
- The interior and exterior handle open and close all the way normally, but do not open the door.
- The lock / unlock button on the drivers door works on the three other doors correctly. It does not move the switch on the stuck door.
- I tried unhooking the battery and unlocking the door / opening the door. It didn't work.
- I removed the two screws holding the interior door handle in place and removed the handle assembly as far as I could. there does not appear to be anything blocking the switch from moving from the inside.
If I can just get the door open, I can remove the panel and figure out what is going on with the cables / door lock actuator / latch. I cannot remove the interior door panel with the door closed.
