Default Clanking inside Del Sol steering wheel

I started noticing a sound like a plastic piece clanking around inside my steering wheel.

the sound comes up every time I turn the wheel a full rotation or more, and it sounds like whatever it is is being tossed around. Has anyone had this before?

I can’t quite tell if it’s coming from inside the steering column cover, or the airbag area/inside the steering wheel itself

Update: I removed the bottom panel of the steering wheel, and this red piece fell out. Does anyone know what it is?

It is a safety plug end to be used when you are removing the air bag or cable reel... it should snap on to the lower plastic trim panel that you removed.
